- Jigger dyeing machine is used for cloth dyeing operations, a roll of fabric wound around perforated beam. Liquor is heated using steam coil and circulated through the fabric. Typical dyeing temperature is 120 to 1300C. After circulation, dye is cooled using water, which is potential heat recovery source.
- Mercerization, the treatment of cotton with a strong caustic alkaline solution in order to improve the luster, hand and other properties.
- The purpose of bleaching is to remove colored impurities from the fiber and increase the whiteness level of fabric. Chemical used are Hypochlorite / Hydrogen Peroxide.
- Singeing refers to the burning-off of loose fibers which are not firmly bound into the yarn or fabric structure. Singeing is an important part of pretreatment. This is the burning off of protruding fiber ends from the surface of the fabric.
- Dyeing is the process of imparting colors to a textile material through a dye (color).
- Drying is necessary to eliminate or reduce the water content of the fibers, yarns and fabrics following wet processes. Drying is done by water evaporation
- Paddler is used to dye the cloth. A cloth is allowed to swirl in a helical tub which consists of hot liquor. Sometimes, the Paddlers are used to give caustic or hot water washing to the cloths as well. Typical dyeing temperature is 80 max. upto 1300C. After circulation, the liquor is drained to ETP which is potential heat recovery source.
