Uni Klinger provides complete range of non asbestos gland packing in Graphite, Teflon,Aramid,Carbon and Glass fiber. Enabling UKL to cater to Pump,Valve and other equipment.
The major sources of fugitive emissions are valve glands, pump seals. And although emissions from individual components can be small, the cumulative effect can be very significant.
A fugitive emission is a spurious emission of the process fluid, usually a hydrocarbon in gaseous form, from any plant component which relies on a seal to separate the process fluid from the environment.
Emissions from plants have two main impacts. Firstly, Emissions of process chemicals can cause damage to the environment or harm to the health of plant workers and general public.
Secondly, Emissions of process or service chemicals represent financial loss to the operating company, chemicals which are retained within plant equipment cannot be sold to customers.
Structured graphite packing's are made up of preÂformed graphite rings that are assembled in the stuffing box according to manufacturer's instructions.
Braided graphite packing's are not pre-formed for specific valves sizes and types, instead being cut to desired length from a spool of a specified thickness, and fitted into the valve stuffing box.

Non Asbestos gland packing's such as PTFE and graphite have in built property of lubrication. Hence, they do not scour shaft sleeves, thereby saving the equipment cost.
Most of the Non Asbestos packing's are chemically inert which increases the life of packing, while in operation.
Non Asbestos packing's do not create friction, hence temperature rise in stuffing box is minimal, also these packing's have heat dissipating properties, which tends to dissipate out the heat generated through the sleeve.
Downtime with Asbestos free gland packing's is less as compared to asbestos packing's, thereby reducing the cost of plant shutdown.
Non Asbestos packing's allow free running of shaft, which indirectly decreases the load on motor, thereby indirectly saving electricity.

Lantern rings are used in stuffing box for either quenching or flushing out unwanted particles that may lynch or erode packing.
Normally Lantern rings are made of PTFE, filled PTFE, Bronze , carbon. Etc.
