T and Y Type Strainers

The Strainers serve the purpose of removing/filtering unwanted detrimental elements from the pipeline, which otherwise would harm the equipment/contaminate the media.

UKL manufactures both T type as well as Y type Strainers.

  • MOC: ASTMA 743 Gr.CA40, [Y type] ASTM A216 GR.WCB & ASTM A351 GR., [T type] with Std. 40 mesh strainer element in SS304
  • Sizes: 15 mm to 200 mm in T type and 15mm to 40mm in Y type
  • End connections: Screwed/Socket weld Flanged ends to ASA150/DIN/ASA300

Strainer is a product which is removed dirt, muck & foreign particles & keepmedia clean for efficient function&installed in the upstream of the system.
Example: 40 NB UKL Strainer, (Size) (Make) C.I. Y type Strainer Flanged TableF, IBR (M.O.C.) (Strainer type) (End Connection).
The arrow on casting indicates flow direction.
With suitable isolation, repairs can be carried out online. Undo nuts and remove strainer cap. Remove muckand clean screen thoroughly. Fit screen carefully with cap &new gasket. Apply a thin coating of jointingpaste. Tighten nuts uniformly. Open up isolation valve.Check for gasket leak if any and tighten.
Screen and gasket kits are available as spares.
